Fantastically presented store compared with the old dowdy store in Newcastle. Staff were very pleasant and most helpful with my purchases. # Keep up the good work Spotlight, looking forward to returning very soon.

New store has a massive layout of home decorative items. It was a pretty popular place on the day I visited for some curtains and rails. A lot more parking available than when it was in Newcastle West.

Limited range and staff acknowledged that they hadn't unpacked all of their stock. Staff were not friendly and generally avoided eye contact.

Not enough staff on. Not only is it inconvenient for customers, its not fair on the staff working their ads off. Good store but when you virtually have a monopoly in your market they think they can get away with these cost savings.

I don't know whether the staff member (Anastacia?) was having a bad day, had just had a telling off or was unwell or just isn't suited to customer service but she provided me with no expression or even interest that I was purchasing anything. In fact she looked bored to tears. She was completely monotone and due to my less than perfect hearing I had to ask her twice to speak up as she was so soft spoken I couldn't hear her. No sorry or even acknowledging the fact that I had asked her a question. I have worked (and am still working) in retail for 43 yrs so I am very understanding at what retail staff have to put up with BUT Spotlight, if you have someone in customer service then train them or at least choose the correct personalities for the position. The store is great and closer for me now but today was less than satisfactory.

This is honestly my new favourite spotlight. It’s massive, I got lost in it and the range of fabrics!!! Staff were so helpful and I was able to get a massive range of things that I needed.
