To dine at Melba has been on my bucket list for years, however, after today's lunch, I feel it's nothing special but overpriced. The food selection was seriously limited compared to the price (108 per head). In the peak time, most of the seafood was empty so we had to queue for a while and waited for the food to be topped up. The dessert area was also half empty at the end and messy too. The service was also poor. This place just has fancy looking and that's all.

We chose the buffet lunch here (instead of the Crowne) because it was highly rated online. Unfortunately this is not the case. It was in fact a very disappointing experience & won't be coming back. Customer service is acceptable. We made a booking and apparently booked high-tea instead of lunch. The buffet area is a chaos - arrows on the ground directing patrons, no one is following it. Staff didn't advise patrons to follow directions on arrival either. Seafood - the Coffin Bay oysters served today was anything but fresh. It didn't taste nor smell fresh. Lobster seems to have been sitting out for a while, it's all dried up. Sashimi Station was probably the best part because the food was actually fresh. Dessert Station - all the cheesecakes type has an incredibly soft tart to it like it has been sitting there for a while & now soaked, not sure if it was their intention to have it so soft. Everything else was marginally average.
Abundance of good quality food for every taste bud
Had an excellent dinner with family and friends. Service was fantastic even though we were a large party. Our server Young was attentive the whole night, food was nothing to complain about. In my opinion, the Atmosphere and ambience is the main attraction. I haven't had a bad experience with them. Highly recommended.
Went here about a month ago, food was fresh but it all was extremely underwhelming. Nothing amazing. Worst part: Steak was chewy, no warm deserts, minimal selection. Best Part: Oysters, sushi station and the stuff were great. Won't be going back, 130 per head is insane!
