The South Melbourne District Sports Club (SMDSC) offers a wide range of sports throughout the year to suit all ages from kinder to seniors, including Milo in2Circket for girls and boys aged 5 to 8, AFL Auskick for children aged 5 to 12, Junior Cricket, Junior Football, Women's and Men's Football, Little Athletics and Senior Athletics. The SMDSC runs a well-structured Auskick program and with over 35 qualified AFL coaches, is one of the largest Auskick Centres. The club also offers a pathway into junior footy through South Melbourne Districts FC and teams from U8’s all the way through to seniors. The SMDSC is located at the Clark Shields Pavilion in Albert Park. There is only limited parking at the pavilion itself and while roadside parking is available, it can be difficult to find a spot during busy times when events are also taking place at the other adjacent sports grounds. You also need to be aware that parking fees apply to all marked bays and roadside parking throughout Albert Park. While all profits raised from parking are put back into Albert Park, which is a good thing, another option might be to park along Canterbury Road opposite Fraser Street, which is only a few minutes away, and walk across the Light Rail.
