Rude staff , the whole shop smells bad ( and not just regular fish shop smells, it smells off and bad all the time ) and permeates shellharbour square even a level up . The floor is absolutely soaking wet and I strongly believe this needs to be contained in a shop or OUT of the center completely. I am fear of having to go to shops residing near it as I can't stand the smell.

This place is great, seafood is so fresh. We bought fish and they descaled it for us. Didn't have to wait long. Would highly recommend.
We love coming here for our fresh seafood stocks once a month driving 22 Km from Wollongong. Great service and plenty to choose from.
This is the best place to purchase your seafood in the Illawarra. Management and staff go out of there way to assist you and make you feel so welcome. Always fresh! If you have any problems with a product it will be replaced without any questions. Great service and seafood. Thank you to all!

Unfortunately for S S Fish Market whom eva was responsible for placing it directly next to one of the most misplaced bathroom facilities on the planet, I cannot no matter how enticing there daily display of seafood, distinguish between the odour of the bathrooms and ocean scent from the days catch. The two combine to make it near impossible for me to shop here, no matter how enticing their daily display of fresh local and imported seafood. Which for a Chef(Qualified) is highly disappointing, considering back in the day was of no issue before Shellharbour Square decided to SUPERSIZE!!! leaving stores such as this to have to relocate to their current unfortunate location. Please note... I mean no direct criticism towards S S.Fish Market it's self (as they are well known for providing delicious fresh seafood, it's mainly down to a really bad c**k up! by Shellharbour City Council planning and development Dept!!). BOO SHELLHARBOUR CITY COUNCIL!
Friendly staff members, fresh fish and a wide variety to choose from. Definitely I will go many times in the future
