I can't recommend this service highly enough. I have used it twice now (once for individual therapy, another for couples therapy), and both the therapists I was matched with have been outstanding. I had previously visited 3 therapists who I had not been entirely satisfied with. Rather than further wasting my time making appointments with random therapists that I found on Google, I decided to give Select Counsellors a try, as I felt I had nothing to lose. Both times I had my intake session with Catherine who was excellent, she made me (and my husband) feel very understood. Both times I used the service, I was provided with a referral within a couple of days. They also provide you with a guarantee that if you are not satisfied with the therapist you have been matched with, they will rematch you with someone else free of charge. At the time of my first intake session, they advised me that they have only ever had to rematch someone once as their success rate is so high. I have since recommended this service to some friends, who have also similarly had excellent outcomes. Don't waste your time trawling through Google or merely going off the recommendation of your GP. Select Counsellors provide a highly personalised service which is a hundred times better than anything you will get from a GP when they make you a psychologist referral. For a once off 55 service, it's also highly cost effective given the long term benefits that are gained. Thank you Select Counsellors.
