I’ve slowly become disconnected with social activities, becoming anxious to reconnect into social life. Until I discovered ‘A Painters Dream’’, where I have been welcomed into a social family of people from different backgrounds. I have never dreamed of being able to paint. Bec and James, through explicit visual teaching of art in different contexts, have allowed me to feel socially accepted, a place to belong, a place to celebrate my master pieces. A place where negativity or bias does not exist. A place of laughter and social inclusion. It’s now my routine ‘Me Time’. I don’t know what I would do with out them.
