We were just passing through town on St Patrick's Day. It was late to get dinner in the country by the time we got in and we didn't hold out much hope. But then we found Jack Ryan's! Utterly wonderful traditional Irish food, and we finished our meal with an Irish coffee which was also perfectly made. It's an easy-going place with a fun vibe, and when the live music induced us to get up for a little jive, no eyebrows were raised. As if this all were not enough, they made our dogs so welcome! Definitely the place to go in Sale.

We visited Jack Ryan’s Irish bar from Melbourne whilst on a work trip. Went in for lunch after 2pm and despite the kitchen being closed for lunch, the lovely waitress Regina assured us that would be no problem and placed an order for us. The fish and chips were among the freshest, the chips were fantastic as well. We were so impressed we sent back later that night for dinner. The choice of Parma’s was amazing! I highly recommended Jack Ryan’s Irish bar and I will definitely be back without any doubt! Well done guys keep up the great work!
After a great deal of thought over night I decided to write my review in the cool of the morning. 3 of us arrived at 5.30pm for dinner after coming back from Golden Beach. We were told that there was a shortage of staff so we needed to place our orders at the bar... 10% surcharge AND we had no table service. Two adults and one 8 year old, at least 2 times if not 3 I asked for 6 chicken nuggets and chips. I was then told I couldn't have a burger, the only other thing I remembered was the chicken and avocado but I didn't remember what sauce. Mr B had the chicken parma. Unfortunately I took one mouthful of the chicken and avocado and it just seemed like the sauce had a tablespoon of curry powder! Long story short we had to wait ages for the apple crumble and ice-cream, if I hand't paid for it I would have left after the main course. Was it worth it ... no. To charge a surcharge on a public holiday and not really be attentive is a bit no no.
Very friendly staff Interesting and creative wall decor. Excellent food and flexible with changes. Very reasonably priced.
Had a lovely lunch here with my daughter, the food was so yummy and the staff were great, friendly and thoughtful. Ordered a lemon lime and bitters drink and it was made perfect, it's amazing how many pubs I've been to and they can't even get a drink right. Will definitely recommend this pub to friends.
Passing through Sale and we’ve now been back twice! Great service, so friendly and kind and attentive. Yummy food too.
Went for brunch on Sunday. Food was great. Service was outstanding. Friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.
