best salad shop in perth! i think i've had almost every hot meal option there - crepes, pasta, quiche, tuna patties, spanakopita - all so good! get a takeaway and eat in one of the fantastic parks around perth city!

Very generous offerings. I was hesitant about getting a wrap by itself as I normally need something in addition just so I'm full, however, the amount that they fill into the wrap is definitely enough for me. Wrap's have been delicious too!
While I cannot really knock the food, the venue seemed a bit grubby (this report is based on a visit a few months ago and things might have changed). If you've read Andre Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential you may shrug off Notices of Conviction from the Department of Health, but this place has "earned" one recently. Oops!
What I found alarming was the response from the owner of the Salad King in the City. Although a guilty plea he still thinks that denial is a river in Eygpt "Salad King owner John (last name not supplied) elected to have the matter heard in court, eventually pleading guilty to four of the nine charges brought against him and was fined 16,000. John said Salad King had operated for more than a decade without any food safety infringements and said his business was unfairly targeted by health inspectors. “The bad publicity Salad King has received would normally cripple a business such as ours, and the only positive thing we take out of this ordeal, is the fact that most of our customers have stayed loyal and continue to visit,” he said. “This is the only validation we care about.”
Awesome food - since moving to Perth I have made this my regular lunch spot. The King Salad is my fav closely followed by the Beef O Salad. Prices are also very reasonable - give them a try if you're a salad lover!
