Love Middle-Eastern fare. Visited several months ago (March/April 2015) - thoroughly enjoyed the weekday lunchtime menu with the butcher's delight (awesome value) and our previous experience was fantastic. I particularly loved the breakfast tagine and the tasting plate. Went back again for lunch (May 2015), and was disappointed to see the lunch menu gone and what looked to be new management. We waited to be seated...and waited... and waited. Four people behind the counter, two looked directly at us and chose to chat to each other instead of seating us, despite the restaurant being empty. Even a wave was completely ignored, so we walked away and had lunch elsewhere. If you can't even get the basics of customer service right, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

There was a reason why I went here years ago and never came back. The funky decor got me all excited that it'd be great again but then the service and food always lets it down. It's just so.... bland... I don't think anyone at our table of 9 finished their meal and we're big eaters. It just gets sickening really. And the whole surcharge thing is a joke. Provide some decent food and better service first.

The food here for breakfast is amazing - it would have gotten 5 stars, but the service is far from good. On both occasions I've been there it always took time to initially get a seat and then again to make our order, or even order a coffee to start. Then when we went to pay we were told that the eftpos machine was down from last night - something that we should have been told before sitting. Still worth the visit - just don't expect quality service.

beautiful food, dips to start, meals to share like targine. Lovely, beautiful atmosphere. Helpful and friendly service, explained what was in the dishes, werent pushy. Pretty pricey but great food. Great for catching with friends, more for adults than kids.

We decided to eat here after shopping in Top Ryde one Thursday, it was only 5.30 or so, so quite early for us. They were having an early bird offer on Tagines, so we couldn't refuse! (almost half price!) The service was amazing, friendly staff, very quick and efficient. I had the Chicken Tagine with couscous, and my partner had the beef cheeks (spicy). We both agreed these were super tasty and fresh. We ordered Fried Cauliflower as an entree - to die for! and also some bread. If you can, try the Tagines in the happy hour. Worth every penny!

Awful service. Waited for 5 minutes at the " please wait to be seated" sign, only to be sneered at and told to sit "wherever". Waited another 15 minutes - no menus, no water, no eye contact at all from the 3 waiters who twice visited a nearby table. As they passed we called out (very politely!) "Excuse me" only to be waved away with a grunt, an eye roll and a yeh yeah with a waving hand. Disgusted. Will never return.

Their argilleh is awesome and their drinks are fabulous. Could do with remembering our faham once in a while but overall a very cool place to chill at.

Always go for weekend brunch/lunch and a weekday dinner. Breakfast: in our dish exploration, we find the the sauce on the eggs benedict is incredibly strong; liked the za'tar bread, labne, fresh tomato, rocket and olives. Lunch/Dinner: have to have the dips and bread; marinated olives; Kataifi Prawns, Muhamara Sauce are to die for, as is the Char-Grilled Quail, Pomegrante Sauce - absolute favs and must haves. We love trying one of the desserts each visit; the Shukran Basket was a stand out. Service is usually good, but can vary - one of the reasons we like to go off-peak. We love the nice older waiter guy. Disappointed with the restaurant's inability to manage a large take away order, given the notice, where it would be sitting cold for several hours before pick up - we went elsewhere. Stick to dine in. Great dinner location for dinner and a movie at Top Ryde - only go Kazbah and Red Spoon when at Top Ryde.
