I've made a few purchases at this store in the last 6 months. I've found the staff to be helpful and friendly, as was my recent purchase of a number of items. Some items I enquired about were not in store, but there was no problem for staff to order them. They arrived promptly and we were notified as promised. Very happy with the quality of our special order side tables, lock and a light fitting. I always get comments at home on the pieces Ive purchased from Early settler. Particularly love their unique light fittings and mirrors.

Thank God for your good staff at Newcastle who were able to assist me immediately in regards to my print that I had already put a deposit on 4 weeks ago. Your Rutherford store is absolutely useless in relation to Customer Service, or lack of. Do not return phone calls, messages or even emails from their head office asking them to get in contact with me asap. Definitely don't bother with Rutherford, go to Newcastle.

My wife recently brought a large mirror (2m x1.1m) from the Rutherford store. We went to collect it a few days after purchase to find it still on display. We were told by staff no packaging, not even cardboard was available to assist us in transporting. No staff offered to assist. After returning with our own packaging materials, we proceeded to have to move the stores other display items out of the way to retrieve the mirror. We walked past 3 staff members and zero offered assistance. The best we got was one staff member opened the door. This was some of the worst customer service I have experienced. I could have brought a similar product online and had it delivered to my door for the same money, but I decided to support local business. I won't be shopping at Early Settler again.
