Good experience
The people of this place obviously care about the vessels in their charge. It shows in the beautiful and detailed finish of their operating boats, and the keel-up attention being given to those under restoration. Most impressive, however is the culture of the place; people are valued. Skilled and learners are obviously valued and enjoying sharing what they do with visitors.
This fleet has about 10 beautifully restored historic boats. One of the largest fleets in the world. More than 450 volunteers restore these boats which range from an 1874 tall ship to 1960's Navy tugs and Sydney ferries. You can take day sails on most of the boats, some are even 35 and BYO which has to be the cheapest way to see the harbour, and on really cool boats. Fantastic!
Beautiful sail ships.. Lots of dedicated and wonderful people doing their best to maintain the the beautiful fleet of of ships, some of them dating back to 1850's. A must visit for all sailing enthusiats and sea dogs, and people who love historic ships.
