RoughCast director, Chris Mayer-Plummer has worked in the Australian film industry for over thirty years, both in front of and behind the camera, giving him the insight and inspiration to create RoughCast. Personally he's passionate about life at the fringes, and this, teamed with his actor’s empathy and eye for what works on camera gives RoughCast its edge. Chris' career began in acting, when in his twenties he landed a role as the knockabout Finn McCoil in the Australian TV miniseries My Brother Tom with the legendary Gordon Jackson. From this point Chris’ acting career took off, and he worked as an actor full-time for 10 years, with roles in such well-known TV programs as Home and Away, Neighbours, Good Guys Bad Guys, Underbelly 3 and most memorably as the son Simon in the Australian sitcom Hey Dad…! Following his acting career, Chris established Australian Film Locations, which has now evolved as one of the country’s most respected film location agencies. RoughCast is his latest venture, and one which he drives with passion.
