My Partner and I recently moved into a property that is managed by Robert Allan Property. From the beginning to the end of the application process, Robert and Margaret were extremely helpful and supportive to getting us into our new place which we love so much. Simple, honest straight forward service is what we loved so much right from the beginning. To add to that only a few days after moving in our toilet stopped working and we contacted Margaret via phone. She had a plumber there within the hour without any problems. Never have we had that kind of service from a rental agency. We look forward to enjoying our time renting from Robert Allan.

Terrible experience. I was 7 months pregnant when we accepted a rental apartment through Robert. We made one suggestion of moving the AC unit (on Roberts advice and communicated through Robert) to the landlord as it was a very hot summer and the only AC unit was in the dining room area which would be least used (we did not request to add an additional unit as stated in the response below). We also offered to pay more on rent for this if it was possible, also on Roberts advice but it was by no means a deal breaker for us as we were happy to have finally found an apartment after four months of looking. The next day we got an abrupt email from Robert to say they had pulled the contract following our request, with no further information. It was a terribly distressing experience as we were due to have our baby in just 4 weeks time, it was the height of summer and most importantly we already had tenants moving into our apartment which Robert was also aware of. We had to start the whole process again and Robert provided no support, completely washing his hands of us with no further contact. Definitely not a values based or ethical real estate agent, and sadly a good example of how real estate agents can have a bad reputation. We were so lucky to meet R&W Mascot following, who went above and beyond to give us a viewing off market so we could fix our situation prior to going into hospital and we are still happily living here almost 4 years later as R&W tenants. This is a late review following finding the company in a search for a property to buy in the area and still feel this information will be valuable to someone else and hopefully save them a similar experience.
