A decent Bangladeshi restaurant in Footscray. The food is flavourful and the fish has got good local flavour. Moorog pulao: For this dish I was expecting more flavours in it.. It was slightly low on taste on that day. Mango curd was a good try though Washrooms are fine The interior of the restaurant needs some upgrade and a bit more lighting Probably some local Bangla music would be good in the background

I visited twice this place during the last two months. This is this best option for Bangladeshi food in Melbourne. I heard they changed the management recently and under this new management they are doing excellent job. After a long time I tasted some authentic Bangladeshi food. If you love Indian food you should also try this restaurant. Excellent staff. Highly recommended.

This one is surprising! I have to admit I barely noticed it for years, until I decided to try it. The place looks very simple, but the food is absolutely delicious and the service is with a soul. Highly recommended.

I was actually quite surprised. Most Bangladeshi places have a very typical standing in my experience. Either the food is good and service is horrendous, or the service is good and food barely edible. Food: Good quality food. Freshly made, no excessive use of spices or oil. The milk tea was amazing, just like you get back home. We had Iftar a few day, and the food was generous, fresh and well-prepared. Service: Friendly service, if a bit sparce. But its not very busy, so that works out fine. Ambiance: Small and pretty neat for a deshi resturaunt. Only hitch was there is no heat, and the door doesnt close properly, so we were freezing a bit. For now, this is my go-to place for home-cooking when we can't be bothered to cook.

OLD DHAKA STYLE TEHARI – AROMATIC RICE COOKED WITH BEEF (তেহারি) Cooked with mustard oil and tastes just like my mom used to make it. Blessed to have Rizq.

I loved the food here. Found the right place for Bangladeshi food cravings. My favourite was the Mogoj Bhuna, desi cha and the chicken Biryani. I do wish though that they would make handmade paratas. It tasted like the malaysian packet paratas, which are good but it just wasn't the crispy Bangladeshi parata. It's a family-run restaurant and everything is prepared fresh from scratch. So you may have to wait a while for your meal but it will be totally worth it! Edit: After my later visits, I realised it's a hit or miss with the food. My 2nd visit, food was good but bit oily for my taste. And my last visit for an iftar was quite disappointing with burnt milk tea and way too much batter in the fried egglant tempura. The biryani is still my favorite here though.

Really didn't dislike it but food was average. Fish curry was average but kaacchi doesn't meet the quality. Service wasn't that bad. Just it doesn't come to my first priority in the list.
