I was at the shop during the week to get some Christmas stamps. I found what I wanted, but I have to say I nearly didn't buy it as I heard the most appalling, abusive comments from one staff member directed at another (newer? junior?) staff member. And I mean that the tone this woman used was filled with the most shocking hate and scorn directed at this poor girl just trying to do her job. This wasn't an argument--it was this woman heaping abuse while this poor girl stood silent ("You keep MESSING IT UP" "Why are you counting those YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW"). I shudder to think what abusive hateful language this woman uses when there aren't customers in the store. I hope the owner reads this and takes disciplinary action. There is no excuse for such behaviour in a professional environment. I hope the poor quiet girl gets a better shift or a job at a store that actually treats their employees like human beings. Even if she had made a mistake, the way the more senior woman handled it was absolutely disgusting.

For the only art supplier in town, I expected much better. I cannot believe an art shop does not stock cold press watercolour paper, in fact a lot of their stock was lacking - empty gaps in pencils where they have not reordered in a timely manner, many empty places in the watercolour paint selection. The shop assistant was very ordinary, I could tell she was making it up as she went along - particularly when she could not elaborate on what she had told me. A definite shame that Creamers disappeared, that was what an art shop should be!
Very helpful staff. I was after professional grade water color paper, which unfortuantely they did not have
For the small town we are in, the selection is excellent, and the staff was so lovely and helpful. PS, my Dr. Ph. Martin's calligraphy ink works perfectly on the acid free invitation envelopes, thank you
