Had appointment in outpatients, moved through the service with ease. Great communication and staff. Did wonder if the hospital had changed cleaning contractors or cutback cleaning hours. With covid I'd expected sparkling.....sadly not to be. 6 months ago it was much cleaner.

I was taken to Maroondah emergency recently. Delays were significant but that seemed to be caused by the hospital only using a portion of the facilities as it was not busy. Doctor who advised me was awesome! Head nurse was horrible. Later, I had to call the hospital for follow up appointments - that involved waiting 90min for my call simply to be answered! Disappointing and frustrating, to say the very least. Only deal with them if you have an emergency... but that's probably what they're hoping I'll say.

I had my ankle surgery done 3 weeks ago and had very good experience with nurses.they r very caring. Lunch n dinner was not good. Over all very nice.

Very poor experience with the emergency department. Long waiting times, very crowded in the dated waiting room.. like many reviews we left without getting seen and drove to another hospital. (Very disappointing as this is the closest hospital) The Austin a much better experience as a comparison public hospital.

I was taken here after a car accident and the emergency team did a great job of looking after me. All the nurses, doctors, porters, ultrasound/xray and reception staff were fantastic. The department was very busy but everyone took the time to communicate nicely with me. Much appreciated - keep up the good work guys!

i was in the waiting room for close to 10 hours. i had arrived at 6pm and was not seen until 3:50am. during that time i saw multiple people leave in frustration, a psych patient left without his phone or wallet and the nurses didn’t even notice or care. one of the staff members was incredibly rude, yelling at a patient whom had just miscarriaged. when asking how much longer the wait would be, they just replied with i don’t know but you’re next in line. i was “next in line” for 5 hours. it was not until i went up to the triage nurse crying in pain was i finally seen. when taken into emergency, i was in there for a total of 5 minutes and sent home, saying there was nothing they could do. i had waited 10 hours for nothing. i mentioned to staff that i hadn’t eaten since lunchtime and they dismissed it not caring. overall the experience was horrible and i would not recommend this hospital at all. long wait times, rude staff and nobody seems to know what’s going on.

Had very bad experience with emergency department. Got my husband taken to hospital by ambulance as he passed out from extensive backpain. Paramedics wanted to take him for scans and checks just in case as he is very healthy overall. Got there, apparently they were busy, left us waiting 3 hours with my husband sitting in the waiting room. He was not meant to be sitting for so long and he was very struggling as he was not able to get up. People who arrived after us were leaving way before we did. After 3 hours of waiting doctor took him in to say they don't do scans and since he can still little bit walk they won't do anything with him. He referred us back to GP for scans, which sounds ridiculous.

Terrible emergency service. Good staff, but waiting time is too long, 4 hours at night for a baby makes no sense. Left the hospital with no doctor visit as my baby was too unsettled.
