TOM: Tikkun Olam Makers is a global movement of innovators dedicated to creating extremely affordable solutions for neglected needs of people with disabilities, and other disadvantaged individuals and communities around the world. TOM delivers extremely affordable public domain (no IP) solutions allowing for global open-innovation processes of designing and disseminating solutions for Neglected Problems via distributed manufacturing. TOM was launched in July 2014 by the Reut Group with the ambitious goal of impacting the lives of 250 million people in a decade. Since its launch, TOM has established 30 Communities in 12 countries, and has developed over 350 prototypes with the help of 2,500 volunteers. TOM: Melbourne, founded in 2016, is made possible by Debbie Dadon AM together with corporate, Government and philanthropic support. TOM is a game changing social impact project that will revolutionise the way in which our societies address the everyday barriers and needs of people with neglected social challenges, delivering real impact to the end user.
