Second visit to this location and the food has been absolutely superb and consistent every time. Awesome staff and an absolutely fantastic service. Will definitely become a regular spot for me to visit.

Been here many times and each time was usually delicious. A tiny bit pricey but I have to admit that the food quality is usually very good. Try the dips and the saganaki for entree, and then a seafood or meat platter if this is your first time here. That will give you a basis for branching out on future visits. On our most recent visit we had the seafood platter. I must admit that somne of the elements like the scallops, prawns, fish fillets, and mussels were all a bit overcooked. However the calamari and the whitebait were superb, as were the fresh oysters. We did not like the salad at all. And there had been an over-generous hand with the dried oregano on both the dips and the salad. Usually the food is very very good. Not this last time though.

I first came here in 1988 and it was great - 33 tears later and it is even better. The food is sooo tasty and fresh and authentically Greek. Very happy with the table service as well.

Agapi never disappoints!! Highly recommended, and possibly one of the best traditional, Greek restaurants in Melbourne.

REASONABLE FOOD IN A PLEASANT ENVIRONMENT Went to Agapi with a friend for dinner recently. Wait staff were efficient and we'd fairly quickly settled on a shared seafood platter, whitebait, two dips with pita bread, a greek salad and a serve of saganaki. We shared 2 bottles of sparkling water. The bill came to 118 which was fairly reasonable. The food quality was good without being great. The restaurant is fairly spacious and has an interesting decor. One thing that you need to be aware of is that it gets incredibly noisy (partly due to the solid brick walls and lack of soft furnishings. We left a little early as we could no longer hold a conversation without shouting.

Long time fan; I’ve had at least 6 birthdays there for great Greek-Melbourne style cooking in the heart of Richmond.

This was the first time l visited, and we can't wait to come back! Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic greek with fast, friendly service to go with it!

Love Greek food, and this restaurant ticks all the right boxes. Authentic flavours and generous portion size, a must try in the Eastern suburbs.
