Excellent service. They know their steaks. And the portions of the other stuff is well balanced too. We went through all the way yo dessert feeling juuust the right amount of full. Initially i thought the steak was small (for 300g) but again, perfectly sized. Atmosphere nice and dim but the table was well lit. Definitely worth it if you're into steaks meats and a bit of class for your dinner party.

My husband and I had a lovely evening here last night! Impeccable, friendly service from the moment we walked in, wonderful menu and perfect food. The atmosphere was both relaxed and classy. Gorgeous location. Will definitely be back!
Been here a few times now, I highly recommend the Eye fillet with sweet potato fries. One of the best steaks in town and my new go-to steak place whenever I'm craving meat. Service is really nice and they know their wine recommendations which is ways helpful. We tried the rib eye once and it was full of fat (not the flavoursome kind) so would not recommend that cut unless you like it chewy. Also tried the beef ribs but found them a little chewy. Stick to the cut of meat you usually like or go for the eye fillet and you won't be disappointed.
Rare Downtown was a great experience. Warmly greeted by our host and shown to our table quickly. The staff worked well together - a well oiled machine. Didn’t wait to long for anything and they were happy to hold our mains until we were ready. The huge plus of this place is a huge GF range, I felt like I had a choice of everything on the menu & it was great to have Coffin Bay oysters. The steaks were a little undercooked to how we ordered (scotch was ordered med-well & it came out partly rare) but good cuts and tasty. The crispy onions are the best. Will be going back again.
We had a lovely night. Service was exceptional with our young blond waitress brilliant and very attentive, sorry but i didn't catch your name. food was exceptional, cooked perfectly and the steaks melted in your mouth. Plenty of food and chips were beautiful. Would absolutely come back and recommend. In particular for the exceptional service.

Food was great, service was great, vibe in the restaurant was great. They do their best to cater for everyone and include many dietary requirements, incl. vegan. Even after we paid the bill, they never once made us feel uncomfortable while we continued to sit and finish our wine. Overall it was a really nice experience and we have already spoken about eating there again with family and friends this time. Hayley was our waitress and she was so lovely.
