We did the King for the day a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing experience. The staff were so nice and we had a good laugh together. In the afternoon we saw the train and then had a good lunch with a nice cup of tea. The rafting was so much FUN! Definitely worth the money you pay for. Thank you King River Rafting for a really adventurous day : )

Had awesome weather for a ride down river. Paul was great at steering us through the tricky rapids. We did get wet. Very wet. Wet suits, shoes, helmets and all equipment supplied. Swimmers underneath very helpful for quick change before boarding waiting train for return trip home. Did need to exit boat and climb around rocks to avoid a definite boat flip. This was challenging for some but felt well supported by staff and had ropes and footholds to guide. Would highly recommend the raft and rail version as we had river do most of the work. The all day option required more paddling and less rapids after meeting up with train. Highly recommend.
What amazing day, from start to finish. We didn’t stop laughing until we passed out on bus from a busy and fun day! Paul and Michele, what an awesome business you guys have, we loved the homemade ladder haha! You guys are full of smiles, and fun! Olly and Joel, thanks for putting up with us, you guys were awesome and knowledgeable. We had a really REALLY fun day, worth the money, and the laughs! 10/10 recommend!! Thanks Paul for jump starting our van too! It’s a day to remember! From the Canadian blue jacket (jenny), and the loud laugh girl (Kirby) :)
King for the day indeed. Paul runs an incredible day of adventure on the King River navigating the turbulent waters while telling stories of Tasmanias intriguing history along the way. Big kudos to Paul, Thea and the rest of the team for creating such a special experience. This one is not to be missed when travelling through the West Coast!
Great experience and good for groups. Love our guide young handsome George. Very exciting at the first two hours the second part was very boring and you have to paddle for around 4 hours till the end. Recommend to do the first part then take the train back to Queenstown do not paddle to Strahan.
I think we lucked out.. blue skies, great crew, brilliant guide (Olly) and plenty of water! Did the half day and took the train back which was a perfect length of time..the surroundings are nothing short of spectacular and the train was a nice opportunity to dry off and spend with new friends... but only four stars because the lunch let us down, we left hungry! Thanks KRR.. was a great day
Our tour, Noah Coad, was an absolute legend, we had the best day ever, definitely recommend going rafting, we went on the one in Tahune Airways, was a great trip
We did the full day King of The River Tour with Olly and Paul as our guides, they were awesome! We had such a great time, awesome rapids and also nice calm sections. We explored the history of the river and learnt so much. Thanks for an awesome trip guys, highly recommend!
