Hands down, Dr Ah Yui helped me change my sons life around. Was it a hard journey? Absolutely, the last few years have been some of the hardest of my life, and my sons. Was it worth it (all the appointments, tests, reviews, specialists, school changes, money, and hard truths), absolutely! I can see there are mixed reviews, unfortunately there are a lot of parents in society these days that expect other professionals (teachers, doctors, specialists, Governments) to also parent/raise their children or at least contribute. This is not the case and it is completely the parents' responsibility to raise a child. It is up to us parents if we build a network around us but even then the responsibility lies with us. You cannot fault a professional just because they did not give you the answer you want about your own child, or for the parent book not falling onto your lap. We are all in the same boat here, no-one has a parent book about your child. Again, it is not a reason to talk badly of other people.

Saw dr Leslie for my son's diagnosis and support. He is straightforward and to the point. However, he is not much help to us in referring therapy pathways. I had to do all the research myself.

knowledgable Dr who assisted where others didn't try. His manner is to the point and honest and he isn't about sugar coating the truth which I believe a lot of the negative reviewer wanted. My son with the dr's assistant went from constantly being suspended at school to achieving B's& C's in his school reports. Remember reviewers it's not only the doctors responsibility to help your child but you personally need to build a support base and spend the time and effort to assist your child in their development

Highly do not recommend. This doctor was totally insensitive on sensitive topics. He came across rude aggressive in the way he worded things. In a few occasions told me point blankly I was wrong in my opinion! He tried to diagnose my son with just the notes he had taken on paper after only speaking to me for a little an hour or two. And told me there is no other way I can help my son unless I medicate. When questioned about anything else I could do he insisted firmly and rudely that no he will not do well in life unless is is medicated. And Then told me at the end of my meeting that I need someone to watch my six month old baby at our next appointment ( who is BF only ). Because I need take this seriously!!! I’m disgusted!!!

Has been helping our family for more than 6 years. One of the most knowledgeable doctors in Brisbane when dealing with learning and behavioural difficulties.

Dr Ah Yui has been an absolute life saver. He helped us to get to the bottom of some troubling behaviours in our son. We've gone from awful behaviour at school to great behaviour. Dr Ah Yui has been extremely helpful, professional and has made it easy to understand our son's issues and also the best course of action. Could not recommend him more highly!

What a waste of time and money, he took notes of what you told him and putt it in a report, no helpful or constructive advice at all!! This bloke should become a writer and leave the medical profession. His practice looks bad and his work reflect that as well, won’t recommend him at all.
