I'm confirming the racist nature of the club still, one year later at their opening night in a new venue (Lux in South Yarra). Sure, the entrance is free with zero line but I did not expect to have my night cut short by my Indian partner being kicked out for virtually no reason... One white security guard accused him of holding his arm around my neck "too tight" while the ONLY non-white bouncer out of the WHOLE team tried to defend him stating I was his girlfriend. He then escorted us down the stairs claiming my boyfriend was too drunk. I never drink so was perfectly sober to realise he was not, otherwise would have been the first person to hold him accountable and scold him. Later on, we lined up again with my friend trying to explain the situation to the blonde lady handling the guestlists in her hands who didn't even let her complete her sentence before saying they would not let us in again. Once arrived almost at the entrance, a bouncer claimed my friends (also non-white) were too drunk to get in. Again, they were not \u200d️ They definitely need to make an effort on diversity hire, Billboards and Brown Alley have almost exclusively brown security teams in comparison...

This place is racist. I've been here five times in a row and suddenly today the bouncer doesn't recognize me. He let south east asians in before me and my Indian friend. They were behind us in line. We proceeded to stand in line because the bouncer said that it was guest list only. We asked the asians behind us if the were on the guestlist before the bouncer let them in and they said no. The Bouncers clearly have their own bias. Dont come here if you are black or brown.
