Lower Back Pain - Cured! I was recommended to see Adrian by my Remedial Therapist at Charlie Lily. I had chronic lower back pain and it seemed to my therapist that there may have been something else going on. Adrian's consultation was thorough, professional and I feel very comfortable with him, even with such delicate issues. It turned out that my lower back pain was a symptom of ICV (The underlying cause that I'm talking about is a little valve between the large and small intestine called the Ileocaecal Valve, or ICV). I had an ICV problem without any "typical" digestive symptoms. The confusing thing is that you can have this problem with absolutely no digestive symptoms, although people with ICV problems often do experience bloating, gas, abdominal cramping and tenderness. One of the most classic signs of this condition is pain or stiffness first thing in the morning that goes away once you get moving, but is back again the next morning. The pain is most often in the lower back, but can affect anywhere that you have a problem- the neck is also a common area. If you wake up each morning with a stiff neck that seems to loosen up after a hot shower but comes back the next day then it's likely you have an ICV problem. Adrian explained this condition thoroughly enough for me to really understand what has been going on over the years. I've been to a number of other health practitioners/GPs in the past for various ailments who could not even explain what they were treating, it felt like they were always in a rush to see their next client. There are quite a few causes of ICV such as allergies (especially food allergies and intolerances), gut parasites, stress, physical pressure, toxicity, nutritional deficiency and dysfunction of the kidneys, bladder or gall bladder. Adrian was able to find out the cause and solve the problem! Now I can enjoy my massages, my food and my body :) Thank you Adrian Harper, Monica
