Potoroo Palace is a beautiful place. Absolutely worth the visit if you are in the area. Lots of native animals where you can get up close to them. Great place to take the kids with a lovely picnic area!

Lot's of beautiful birds and wildlife. Hand feeding kangaroo's was most definitely a favourite for my kids. Staff absolutely wonderful, very friendly. Great day had.

Good little sanctuary with animals roaming freely. We went early (9:30am-ish) and got to see some kangaroos, emus and loads of birds. You’ve got to be lucky to spot dingos and koalas. Seemed like the animals are generally well fed/didn’t care too much about the 3 feed we bought at the reception. Good family outing for a couple of hours. Don’t be too excited though as you might leave disappointed. Your experience may differ depending on the day/time/weather and more importantly the presence or lack of animals.

An inspirational little sanctuary with a wonderful backstory. Make this a must do during your visit to the Sapphire Coast/Valley region. Many of the animals roam freely and you get to interact with them, which is a treat for kids and adults alike. Look out for the two cheeky juvenile Gang Gangs in the walkthrough aviary...see pics. Staff warmly welcome you, are informative and encourage respectful interaction with the animals.

It was a delight to see and feed the friendly, free roaming kangaroos. We were also happy to see a koala up close but our feelings were not reciprocated - the koala was feasting on some delicious Eucalyptus leaves and wasn't too fussed about seeing us :D. We did a little walk with the Emus as well. However, it was Chuffy, the bird, that stole our hearts - very friendly and chatty! Only it was a little disappointing to see the reptiles being restricted to tiny cages, but also glad they were not free roaming! The lady by the ticket counter was very welcoming and friendly. I'd definitely come back (for Chuffy) if I had the chance.

Not often that I rate a place anything other than a 4 or 5 but I guess we were expecting much more after having visited several other such places that promise interaction with animals including in Sydney and Adelaide. Many of the enclosures were overgrown and we never saw the intended animal. The kangaroos never touched the food we bought for them. Either they didn't like it or already had too much. (We were the first ones in that day) We still enjoyed ourselves though and are sure other families will too.
