Nice place. Easy stroll. Bit breezy when we were there so not quite so enjoyable. For swimmers - deep beach with strong rips. Discouraged swimming there. There are less risky spots to cool off.

Nice place to do some photography. You can either get shots from the lookout or walk down to the beach and get a bit closer. Some larger sections have fallen in the past few years and have blocked a bit of the keyhole view of the rock. This place suits sunset more than sunrise shoots.
Caught this beauty at sunset. It was mesmerizing. I think it's better to come in the evening when the tide is low? It seemed we caught it at the perfect time. It was a steep walk down to the beach from the lookout but I quite enjoyed the adventure and the clean sand and untouched grandness of this beach.
As long as you don't need to use the public toilets (one of the more disgusting you'll come across) then it's well worth a visit if your in the area.
The route down to the beach has now changed and involves a 500m'ish walk along the beach rather than the traditional steps down the cliff. Pity to see them gone as they were a traditional part of the experience. The beach itself is very clean and free of rubbish. The water is wild and does not look safe. Better to go back to Portsea where there are lifesavers. No facilities. Paved car park. Not very pleasant. Put up with the parking to get to the beach!
My favourite place near Melbourne to swim - there's a beautiful lagoon, shade from the cliff, and plenty of rock pools to explore. Try to go during high tide!
An incredibly scenic and picturesque limestone formation at a very beautiful beach. The rock formations are fun to climb around, there's no entry fee, and there are a few hiking trails around Point Nepean National Park. The history behind Point Nepean adds to the charm of this charming beach.
Great spot for family time or alone time
