Usually pretty good and reliable, I booked a reservation online for the next day for a 8am pick-up but they didn't show so I had to go without them. I didn't get a text message till 8:30am saying taxi is on its way, by that time it was too late. I had left Port Macquarie on my way to Coffs Harbour.
We found the drivers were very professional and the service was very good. They arrived on time and the taxis were clean and comfortable.
Taxi driver arriving at neighbrous house next door and waiting in the wrong driveway and talking with a rude attitude. After dropping me off keeps yelling in the street without me speaking even a single word to him . Never came across something like that. The most unprofessional act I have ever witnessed.
Theres still good drivers but I have had a few that are derogatory and oblivious. I didn't like the way a particular person from the call centre treated me. I asked the person if there will be an outcome of my complaint and they said yes and that the certain drivers would be blacklisted from picking me up on my request. The person eventually screamed at me on the phone and I told the person no point in getting worked up and criss with me about a simple question. The person hung up on me. I will never use this service again. Unless I know the driver is good.
Called for a taxi, an hour later said I was next in line. Mates (two blocks away) called a taxi an hour and a half after my initial call. My mates end up picking me up in their taxi. Terrible.
Ordered a cab, 30 minutes later received a text saying it was pulling up, understandable knew it was going to be a wait. 10 minutes after the text I attempted to call to say the cab never arrived. Was on hold 5 minutes and the call was disconnected. It's just poor service.
I have never experienced customer service like this in my life. Whilst I had numerous negative experiences with Port Taxis before (ie spoken to rudely both from the call centre & drivers, drivers almost always EXTREMELY late, and overcharging us), yesterday we decided we would organise a taxi in advance and I was mortified by the treatment. We booked a taxi 5 hours in advance to be sure we would arrive at an event on time. 15 minutes after the taxi was booked to arrive we called the call centre to get an estimate on arrival. We were extremely polite, and the condescending, rude, blunt response we got from the woman working was shocking. The only indication as to the drivers whereabouts was that he was within 2km, though we had no idea if he was completing a job, had another job before us, or any other related information. We continued to wait another 20 minutes, after which point we were already late for our event and it was blatantly obvious we had been lied to. You can walk 2km in 20 minutes. We eventually had to drive to the end of season event as we could not risk being even more late. When we called the call centre to notify them that we would have to cancel, we were blatantly hung up on without acknowledgment, apology or explanation. I cannot believe there is customer service so incredibly rude. If the customer service had have been more appropriate, understanding and had had better communication, there would have been no issue. The way this situation was handled, and many more previous to it, confirmed for us that we would never risk Port Taxis again. We will be getting Uber or driving. So disappointed.
