Man this place is beautiful and special! I was also pleasantly surprised to see the road is fully sealed from Hughenden the whole way to the campground.

Oh my god what an amazing place the lookout and the walk into the gorge we had a swim in one of the water holes the water was so crystal-clear you could see fish you've gotta do this put it on your bucket list
A short 65km - 46 minutes drive from Hughendon . The first stop is the lookout where you can view over the gorge. If you want to be adventurous and walk down to the bottom you drive on to the camping area about 11km further . The walk down is 1.1km from the top with the walk up the same path 1.2km ??. (Maybe allows the extra distance to sit under cover after you have climbed back up ). There was not a lot of water at the bottom at the moment but the walk down was worth it. When the is more water it’s a great place to swim apparently . I will say you need to be reasonably active to climb back up the steps/path ! I’m 61 and still managed it comfortably . Well worth visiting the little Grand Canyon in the area.
Took a quick day trip out to have a look. Unfortunately, ankle reconstruction surgery restricted wife's ability to walk down in to gorge and there were not enough facilities to leave her waiting at the top for 2 hours whilst I went exploring. Pity, might have to leave it on the list to return to later.
Stunning views. Walk down into the Gorge for a nice dip in flowing cool waters Highly recommend and camping is available at the gorge must pre book via NP'S webb site
