Wow! Such a gem! We wouldn't have discovered it if it wasn't for us getting lost. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, relaxing and calming. Unfortunately didn't get our hosts name, but her knowledge of wine was shared with us and was explained in detail. Wine is soo tasty, you can actually taste the flavours! Would highly recommend visiting!

Nice place to visit. To be honest, this place was one of best winery for us out of 4 wineries we visited over the weekend. All wineries are unique and different but this one had our taste. They are busy but you can try all you want. Not a fancy looking all over the top place but feels like visiting a grandma’s place which is lovely. I was happy to find this place to visit and willing to order online for delivery in the future.

This hidden gem of the Hunter is such a delightful place to experience! A picturesque vineyard, uniquely rustic cellar door, and an absolutely gorgeous homestead (if you're looking for a place to stay). The staff were super friendly, and we were really impressed by the range of wines available for tasting. Family friendly with beautiful gardens to explore, and a view of the Mountains like no other in the Hunter Valley. I recommend taking a picnic, buying your favourite bottle from the cellar door, and settling in for the afternoon. Make sure you visit Hanging Tree Wines next time you visit the Hunter Valley! We will be returning again and again!

A beautiful property and some great wines including a very nice sparkling shiraz and an amazing "Blacksmith's Shiraz Cabernet". The staff are very friendly and helpful but beware they are very persuasive (or maybe we are) since we left with a lot more wine than planned! Fun visit and recommended

Cannot recommend this place highly enough, a 'must-visit' in the Hunter Valley region! It has everything: great tasting wines, friendly and awesome owners and staffs, beautiful animals (dogs, horses, guinea fowls) and flower gardens, very nice homestead accommodation, and stunning instagram-worthy property overlooking the winery and the mountain range (make sure you watch the sunset there). Would highly recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely be back! See you soon :)

I’m the 103 reviews .. the average is 4.9 .. it’s hard for me to add something. Such a beautiful experience and wine tasting I’ve had with Lauren. This cellar door is exactly what you can imagine from the Hunter Valley for a perfect immersion .. short dirt road, stunning garden with some roses everywhere, an old and vintage shed for the tasting, with a small creek and some real size chess game... the perfect place to come with kids to enjoy the true countryside Hunter valley .. obviously the wine is really good with a large range and some special grape. My favorite is definitely the Fumé Blanche but the 100% Petit Verdot attracted my attention. Thanks so much Lauren and for sure, see you soon!

Beautiful Vineyard and winery in the Hunter Valley. The wines were lovely but the views sublime. The staff were wonderful and even delivered our wine for us as we were on cycles. The three lovely chubby labradors, Vodka, Bundy and Muscat were worth the visit alone
