I have been a long term member of the PCFC. It is a great social club, with regular get togethers, club BBQs. Flying is great out of YMPC. This is the birthplace of Australian Military Aviation. So sometimes you are sharing the circuit with the RAAF. The PCFC - Pt Cook Flying Club has some great planes, Cessnas. They are cheap to hire as a club member. This is the club to join if you are interested in flying and meeting other aviation buffs!

The perfect place to hire an aircraft around the Melbourne basin area. Friendly club, exceptionally reasonable flying rates and very well looked after aircraft. Has the added advantage of flying from YMPC. Highly recommended!
One of the best flying clubs in Melbourne. Great aircraft with very cheap rates. Convenient location in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
I haven't seen cheaper flying rates anywhere, and the aircraft are kept in great condition. Booking is on line and availability is excellent...and so close to Melbourne...but no landing fees!
