Awesome courses and staff. The courses are very professional with quality study material and exams. No tick and flick certifications here. I recently completed an abseiling certification course and the material and instruction were second to none. It was day one of a top rope course and everyone attending was impressed with the quality of the training. Alex the instructor was very knowledgeable and friendly with a relaxed approach to training. I learnt so much and will definitely be back for another course soon. Thank you for a great day.
I did a lead climbing course over two days at KP and Tibro. Peta is a top notch teacher. I had considered just learning from friends but am really glad I did the course instead. I feel confident that I can lead climbs outdoors safely now. Highly recommended.
I had my first abseiling experience yesterday, on Mt Ngungun. Pretty excited the whole time and with a great group of mostly first timers too, we all did very well. Perfect weather and atmosphere made for an amazing time. Biggest thanks goes to our instructor, Luke, for his patience, calm and friendly nature. Give him a pay rise I finished the day feeling really inspired and a sense of accomplishment. Thanks !
We took our two children aged 11 and 13 to the Kangaroo Point Cliffs to do some abseiling. Our guide was Mal. What I will say about him is contradictory but that is who he is - he is highly professional, yet the most easy going person I have met. He has more patience with other peoples children than I do with my own - ha! He is patient, encouraging, comforting and just puts the kids (and the parents) minds at ease. The kids absolutely loved the experience and we loved watching them conquer their fears and embracing the experience. Mal had them believing they were ready for Mount Everest by the their fourth descent. I would highly recommend the abseiling experience provided by Pinnacle Sports to anyone and everyone, especially those who might want to travel outside their comfort zone.
Great shop, great service, super helpful and knowledgeable. They even have a small test wall so you can try gear on properly! Would 100% recommend.

LEAD CLIMBING COURSE! TL;DR - The best lead climbing course in Brisbane, all killer and no filler. If you are weighing up your options on how and where to learn about lead climbing I would strongly recommend going through Pinnacle. The course gave me so much confidence as it completely demystified climbing techniques, gear use and safety considerations, Peta whom was our instructor had close to 3 decades of climbing experience and her knowledge has put me years ahead - you rarely come across anyone this good.
