LOVED this hike. It is intense and there are a lot of stairs and lots of incline walking but it is so beyond worth it. The middle section is a flat headland which gives you a little break but the rest is quite the climb. The ladder/stairs at the end are not for the faint hearted...But as someone who’s occasional fear of heights kicked in mid climb and still managed to smash it all the way to the top I would 100% recommend this challenge. The views are sensational, and so is the feeling of conquering it There are toilets at the bottom of the track too and lots of parking (it took a second to drive up in our Subaru Impreza but we got there slow and steady haha) Def take a hat/sunnies because a few parts are exposed!

A serious effort to reach the summit of Didthul, but well worth it. The walk is divided into four: a steep uphill forested section which took us about 30m at a good pace; then a flat section along a ridge, through more open scrub; then another long even steeper uphill part - perhaps a further 20m; before the final climb up to the top, which is via about a dozen steel staircases/ladders. The view is really spectacular. We made it back to the car park in about 2¼ hours - approximately 1¼ hours up and 45m back, with 10m or so resting at the top.

The road there is quite bumpy but normal cars will make it if you just take it a little slower. Great views at the top. The terrain almost makes you feel like you’re overseas. Worth the steep incline and daunting looking stairs (they aren’t as scary as they look). Took us about 1hr 10mins hiking at an ‘average’ pace to get to the top. There are toilets at the edge of the car park (where we saw a goanna).

Much easier than it used to be. Since the 2019/2020 bushfires, the Pigeon House Mountain walking trail has been modified to include a switchback style track for the first kilometre or so. This has made it much less exhausting in the beginning, however the incline soon kicks in and brings a burn to your quads and calves. After the first climb, the track flattens out and meanders through thick bush land before once again rising upwards along steps. At first the steps seem like a good idea, but soon you'll feel that familiar lactic acid burn. The steps end at the foot of a series of near vertical ladders which are the final challenge before the summit. But the pain is worth it. Incredible 360 degree views, including a long view of the coast, soon make you forget about the effort it took to get to the top.

Lots of steps, 1:15 to top from car park and 45 minutes return. Well worth the big climb to get there. Amazing views!

The road in is fine, but it was dry. Lots of room in the carpark and a drop dunny (byo paper). The track has been rerouted and makes it longer but easier. Took just over 50 minutes up and a bit quicker on the return. We are quick hikers though. Great views. The ladders are steep but good handrails help a lot. Well worth the effort.

Great views - 5k return so not too long but uphill/ladders mean you get a cardio workout! Byo water or treat water at picnic area.

An excellent but steep walk. The walk is best completed in the morning as there are a few exposed sections. Bring your own food and water - there is none at the trackhead. The road in is manageable, even for a 2WD - but take it nice and slow as the potholes can pack a punch! Follow the signs to get to the car park - Allocate about 30 mins from the main road turnoff to the car park.
