I have been a patient of Dr Peterson’s since 2007. Dr Peterson has performed 4 major surgeries on me after I was diagnosed with Cancer and has done other procedures in between. I couldn’t be happier with his professionalism, support and care. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Dr Petersen is fantastic. He is always so kind to me and answers all my questions. He has gone above and beyond for me several times now and he has literally saved my life by removing stage 3 cancer from my bowel.

I agree with the other person who posted 1 star. I saw Damian Peterson for a couple of procedures many years ago, several years apart. The second time required fairly extensive surgery. I went back for a reoccurance of the same issue last year (haemorrides). After a consultation and examination he booked me in for a colonoscopy (I'm at that age) and rectification surgery. After the operation he advised that he thought banding the haemorrrides would be adequate but he found the problem was far more extensive than he thought. So despite a file stretching back 20 years, with several earlier procedures, and an examination, I have had to endure a second operation for the same problem. Peterson obviously couldn't be bothered reading his own extensive file and his pre-op examination was totally inadequate. He wasn't prepared for what he found. He should have been. Also I have been abused by his accounts department because Petersen then operated the second time after my referral had run out, and there is a huge Medicare/insurance cost gap. They are referring it to a debt collection agency despite his initial mistake, and sloppy accounting procedures. On that score I didn't receive any advice from his office of the second operation's cost despite them now claiming that I was informed that I was not covered by my original referral (not true). The whole place is just slack, which is not good enough when you are dealing with such serious issues. The patient is then expected to suffer the consequences and pick up the tab! Don't use him.
