Awful place, do not stay! It has a prisoner like atmosphere with vulnerable people who need some assistance and a helping hand. Very unsafe vibe at the entrance with random members of the public / homeless being able to use the facilities. As soon as we arrived we tried to book into somewhere else as it was Good Friday everything was booked. Even if I was paid to return I would politely decline.

noisy and dirty couldn't sleep this hostel is next to super noisy building(maybe hostel), so I heard some guys talking every late night even though close windows People played billiard loudly even after midnight im not gonna stay here anymore only free WiFi was good
The manager of this hostel clearly has no concept of what great customer service is. Rude zero understanding of how to treat customer enquires, no knowledge of cancellations policy. Very dismissive and felt that laughing would make her customer service better. A manager's job is to make people feel comfortable , welcomed whether its on the phone or face to face, and they should be equipped with all information as they are the manager. To the owners of Hive Hostel you may want to get your manager some training in customer service.

Worst Hostel I've stayed at! Dont stay here if you dont have to. No air conditioning in our room, no windows to open, weird painting on the walls. Mouldy, springy uncomfortable mattresses. Bathrooms dont have soap or handtowel to dry. No toilet paper, way to less bathrooms for that many people. Unhygienic kitchen wouldn't even want to put anything in that disgusting microwave. It's cheap but you might as well rather spend a couple more dollars on something where you dont think you will leave with a disease afterwards. This place has the atmosphere of a homeless shelter not of a hostel. If you can stay somewhere else do it!

Staff reception very friendly and helpful. 8 bed dorm comfy and spacious. Good location in Northbridge.
