Had a NIght Photography lesson with Stan Davies to try to improve my night photography and Stan did a marvelous Job, He is very knowledgeable and a great communicator, I'm amazed at the progress in my photography after just 2 sessions. I would recommend Stan Davies to anyone wanting to improve their Photography. Stan is a great instructor and teaches in a way that is easy to understand, he is very knowledgeable and imparts his knowledge in a way that allows for easy comprehension . Thank you

My son attended the Beginner Fujifilm course with Stan Davies he is very helpful and very accomodating on him to build his confidence on handling and manipulating his camera. Stan is not scared on letting newbies such as my son handling his expensive lens even under the rain hahahahahah thats confidence to his student there Highly recommended course to anyone looking to learn the basic or refresh their knowledge.
I have recently done a beginners course with Rod at Shoot Photography. I have been hugely disappointed with this course over 3 Wednesday nights for 2 hours each. I was looking for a refresher as I had not used my camera in a few years. Week 1. Purely theory in the classroom. The only time the camera was used was to show how to hold the camera correctly. Different settings were written down on the blackboard and discussed. No home work provided no notes given and the reason for that was that Rod did not want his notes copied. Week 2. Walk about in the city. We were shown how to set the camera for different light and situations. Where this was helpful, once again no notes or cheat sheets to refer to later when doing on your own. Week3. Looking at all rods photos and everyone in the group and showing how to edit them. This course cost 250 and basically I have come away with nothing. Just told to go on line to get the information i need. Where Rod clearly knows his subject matter, as a teacher not so much. I feel that I have been short changed. I am aware that it’s all about practicing. I have referred back to two previous courses done with different photography schools and my experiences back then were far better. If you are a beginner don’t go to this place.
Landscape Photography Workshop 29 October with Stan Davies Thank you to Stan for the very informative session on Landscape Photography. It is always very interesting to listen to an avid traveller and seeing their travels through different eyes. Composition, colours, lighting, early morning, dusk and even a few selfies on show. We travelled to Matilda Bay for some evening Photography and after a shower of rain, the lighting was finally right, just as we finished the practical side. I was also very interested in the smaller Mirrorless cameras that have a huge array of settings and are so light to carry around. Thanks again Stan and Shoot Workshops. Val R
