The food was good. We had fish, tortellini, steak and prawns and all enjoyed our meal. Portions weren’t huge but they were ok. The service was friendly but inefficient. It took 35 minutes between being seated and getting some drinks other than table water, then the food followed closely behind that, so not much of a relaxed dining experience. The restaurant feels like an airline lounge. Where other hotels in Perth CBD’s restaurants are a place to go in and of themselves, Reel Kitchen in not - it’s very much just a place to eat in the hotel. We booked for a special occasion, but in spite of this, we were seated in the third row away from the window and in an area where the blinds were drawn anyway (there was no sun streaming in at this time.) The whole reason we came here was for the view! It was also very cold in the restaurant. In late December, we were all shivering! Would I return to the restaurant? No!
