I came across Cal’s site and sent him my old Canon super 8 camera for repair. I am absolutely delighted with the result. He got a camera made in 1972 back to working condition and repaired a number of faults. As far as price goes, I think his charges are very reasonable in view of the skill needed to repair older mechanical equipment. Cost isn’t a major factor when you get a great result. In my opinion anyway. Thank you very much Cal.

My Canon 1DX MKii sensor was in an awful state, having used it professionally on beach shoots and carried world wide on jobs... Cal inspected it, quoted, fully cleaned the sensor, the camera internals and body in less than 24hrs..... Well done Cal

Brought Cal a Canon 24-70 f/2.8L lens with a broken autofocus motor that Canon don’t service anymore and he had it repaired in only 3 days. Great bloke and would recommend him to anyone.
Brought in a film camera that seemed impossible to fix. Brought my camera in and within a few months my camera is good as new. I think he is very professional and is in expert in his field. You can not buy this type of passion.

Unprofessional in his communication and business etiquette, it took almost 3 months to diagnose and fix my camera. It seemed like he forgot about the camera (had no contact over this period until I called him and came into the shop) and within a week of reminding him it was "fixed". However he undoubtedly has the knowledge to fix cameras, but will more likely overcharge you for "cleaning services" or something.
Mended my lens in seconds and wouldn’t charge me. Brilliant service.
