I have an Omega watch and it required a service. Since it was Omega I searched the web and found what a WatchMaker in Melbourne who was a specialist in Omega watches. (G.James Robinson to be exact) I sent it away to him and about 40 days later I received it back. To my dismay it was not regulated properly and going way to fast. Also after 3 days of wearing it, it would stop. It was an auto and wearing it for three days should be fine. If I wound it by hand it would last 3 days and stop (an auto on the wrist should wind when wearing. I sent it back to Melbourne and he said it was fine. Back in the mail it came still not working and now had spot of debris on the inside of the dial (which is shocking for a watch maker to leave on the dial) After being sent back from Melbourne for a 3rd time I decided to cut my losses (550) and send it to Paul for a complete overhaul. It was so bad I couldn't wear it as I getting worse and would stop at random. A few weeks later I got a call from Paul and said it was all fixed and ready to go Paul is a legend, he overhauled it and found most of the screws loose and also the hacking mechanism was floating around inside! I couldn't believe that a so called Omega watchmaker in Melbourne charged 550 and essentially ruined my watch. I have learnt my lesson, I should have taken it to Paul first and it would have been right from the get go and cost me only half as much. Thanks Paul for bringing it back to life

Update on my phone drama from my last post. The gentleman did return my working phone back to me in one piece and working again Thank you. Mix up was due to a communication break down through a third party. Very pleased and happy to have my phone back. Well done son. Paul if you gave Nick all the correct information to start with non of this would of occurred. Nick didn't bend over backwards he just did what he was supposed to do in the first place but not getting the full story he didn't know that. Thank you Nick you did well despite the loud obstacle in the way. Paul you are the one who started screaming and yelling at me, you do not treat any customer that way, whether they are right or wrong. It's called customer service. Don't worry I will never be back your treatment of your customers is appalling. Nick I thank you and truly wish you all the best in the future. Paul shameful.
While in Dalby for a short stay, and walking the main street i came across a Watchmaker / Clockmaker shop, i have a 48 yr old Sicura Breitling globetrotter GMT watch that i have Never had serviced but still works ( lack of wearing a wind up ) i spoke with Paul Bacon and showed him my watch..he said the odds of seeing one of these classics is rare. i also own an old Sicura Breitling watch and he showed me his watch ..after much Watch Talk, i then asked him to service mine, and also fix a broken link on the bracelet of my old Rolex. He said come back in 2 days i returned and he explained that my Sicura Breitling only needed a minor service, and the mineral glass polished, he also timed my watch and said its perfect... my Rolex bracelet was also repaired with spare links i supplied, I found his price to fix my watches very reasonable, and his Vast knowledge of watches and Clocks impressive. At home i have a 50 yr old Nederlandse skeleton wall clock that has not worked in many years and while looking around the shop walls full of clocks i was surprised to see a Skeleton clock exactly like mine, i asked Paul could he repair mine yes he replied, so now i have to send it or make a trip back to Dalby, I am so glad to have found a friendly honest watchmaker who does not overcharge for a simple repair or service just because you have Swiss brand name watches... ...........Thanks for your great service Paul...
