My absolute fav hike/scramble. Love it. Such a good push. 45 min straight up then 20 mins across the Ridge line. Take about another 20-30 mins to get the to end end end.

Parked car at rest area on Springbrook Road about 10 walk from Pollys Kitchen. There are toilets and staff there. Walked across the road to the trail head, National Park signs as well as one indicating Advanced Trail and No Rock Climbing which is ironic because that’s the highlight, it’s a steep fire trail, very rocky compared to others. You will get to a fork and head up the steep single climb about 25 mins into the walk on the right (easy to see) This track takes you back to another fire trail so keep going right, walk another 20 or so minutes you get to a flat clearing and on the right is a massive felon log on right. This is NOT the trail, keep walking along the fire trail until you see another fork, take the well worn right track for 15 minutes then you get to the first of 2 razor backs, it’s a climb but not steep but it’s sheer drops both sides so get your grip and crawl/scramble the first section, great views here, get to the first mountain (lot to see here, Dam, Mountains great views) keep going to the next razor back which leads you down over the side there you will see a couple of pink ribbons on the climb down, keep going to the next razor back then to the summit, it comes to a dead end at the top it’s a trail and grass, I think it’s great views but the seating is more comfortable back at the razor back.
Amazing place
Nice Hike, with a pretty challenging climbing section towards the end.
Beautiful! Must try!
Incredible hike. Best to go on a clear day but it can be quite smoky up there anyway. To get here, take the entrance next across from picnic area near Polly's Kitchen. It'll be a steep 2.5km hike up then you'll reach a flat spot next to a log section. Keep going from there which will go downhill for a while then you'll come to a fork in the road. It'll be subtle at first but left goes down to the swampy section and right goes grassland, take the right and within a couple of kind around a wavy goat track leading you to the start of the ridge line. It's not for the faint hearted and can be dangerous with sheer cliff face, but it's a bloody awesome section and even better view.
Really good hike with some beautiful views. The start is ordinary, just another steep walk. Once you get to the ridge though, things become exciting and a bit challenging. I wouldn't recommend it if you are afraid of heights or not confident with rock scrambling. Otherwise, go for it and have fun!
Such a beautiful place! Apart from it being quite hard finding ‘the tree’, you need to have a really good look around (people have been over marking it, so it isn’t really what’s on the guide anymore). We missed the tree and ended up walking all the way to the other side of the mountain. Maybe next time we’ll come back with a sign haha. Road is quite steep too, a pair of anti-slip shoes would definitely be a plus.
