I recently moved house. The technician who came was on time, and super helpful! The lady we spoke to regarding the connection was fully aware of the information we needed, and clearly loved her job. It was a very easy and pleasant experience for me and my family! thank you to the Sunshine Coast team who looked after my family!

Very sad state of affairs when a customer service rep from Origin ends up telling you that you are better off to go with another provider because he didn't know when they would be able to sort out my order. 45ltr gas cylinder ordered to replace Origin gas cylinders ALREADY being used on premises that ran out and on date of promised delivery driver decided that our driveway was non compliant due to a curve and decided to turn around and go home. Would have been nice to have been told it wasn't coming as promised and also find it odd that gas has been delivered here in the past (hence the two origin bottles already hooked up). First phone call to Origin two days later to find out where is gas to be told that they couldn't deliver because of driveway issue but said it was scheduled to be delivered today and he would look into it and get back to me. Waited for his call and nothing so third call to origin the next day was told no record of my call to the person I spoke to the day before and that he would look into it and get back to me. But of course that didn't happen either. FORTH call and the person I get tries to tell me that even though gas was delivered to the house in the past that perhaps the compliance rules have changed recently ??? and that whilst they where trying to work on a solution that as I had already been waiting a week with no gas that I should go try somewhere else. See you later Origin, tell your driver he shouldn't be a delivery driver if he can't manoeuvre a drive way that even a Mac Truck has managed to make its way up. I have spent Thousands of dollars every year with 2 properties using your services but this incident seriously has made me realise what a bunch of lazy useless people you have working for you and how bad for business that you find it easier to tell someone to go elsewhere rather than find a solution. Edit to add solution found - this company had no problem delivering gas the very next day, in a truck, thank you Agas.
I have contacted Origin for several times because of the terrifying bill and it’s already several months, the issue still didn’t solved and their charge of energy is really lack of transparency. I asked them to send the people to check my meter, they said they will but never have people come. All the charges are just estimated. How come I have only 3 fridges and 2 freezers and 1 dishwasher in restaurant been charged for 3400 for a quarter, I don’t even have oven. Don’t choose Origin if you don’t want to go to bankruptcy.
I've had nothing but good experiences. There can be some waits when calling but never had it be unreasonable. Little disappointed to leave them but told them I had a better deal elsewhere and they weren't interested.
Question: Why did the Origin truck park on the wrong side of the road? Because it was legal - no. Because of a commitment to safety - no. Because the driver was trained to - no. Because that was the only way to unload his gas bottles - no. Because there was no large, safe turning area within view - no. My choice: Because it was EASY!
The worst experience dealing with Origin moving into my apartment. After calling to check that my power and hot water request had been actioned, I was assured that everything was connected and complete. I then drove nearly an hour to the apartment, stopping to get chilled and frozen groceries on the way before arriving to the apartment that had no power. I specifically asked countless times that power was connected before I left, and after confirming my name and address details was confidently told that the service was connected. I’m now left with spoilt groceries and an apartment with no power or hot water! What a joke of a company who can’t even see if their own services are connected!
The worst customer service in the world. Last year I emailed Origin to request approval to have solar power installed at my property it took a month to get a response after numerous calls & follow up emails. I finally received an email from them saying the installer needs to email them which they have & it's been 2 weeks & still no response. I have been told the delay is due to Covid DO NOT GET YOUR POWER THROUGH ORIGIN THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY USELESS.
I called Origin to cut off my water and energy at a specific date. I never stopped receiving bills and upon calling was informed that I apparently “never called”. I offered to provide a phone record proving that I had called them months prior but I was informed that they were “not capable of making mistakes” because of there computer system. Your company stole 300 from me for utilities that I did not rightfully owe and the only reason I did not take legal action was due to the amount not being worthy of the legal fees. A completely unprofessional company incapable of admitting to a mistake.
