Needs more training in the area of Australian Consumer Law. Took my faulty phone into the shop and was advised that I would need to get it fixed myself. Ended up going through the online Optus portal, which was a much smoother process - they just sent me out a new replacement phone with a return satchel, and I posted my old faulty phone back. Much easier than going into the store.

Dealt with Zo about a month ago regarding a difficult situation I faced with an insurance claim. Rest assured his profound skills and knowledge about the procedures and options made this a very easy and unusual pleasant experience. The insurance claim took longer than expected but he made it his priority to ensure that I wasn’t left in the dark without a phone. Zo worked swiftly and sorted me out with a new phone and perfect plan. Not to mention, done all within a tight timeframe for my busy schedule. Cheers Zo, stay classy.
I would like to highlight the customer service received by your store manager Josh I felt he was very empathetic towards my situation and was trying his absolute best to find me a better resolution and stopped me from going straight to another provider. My dealing with optus as a company so far has been ridiculous 2 weeks waiting, hours spent on the phone only to be told to then go In store to then be told it would be up to another 2 weeks before I have internet as the modem appears to be broken but they were happy to bill me already. Staff need training. Optus Gateway have spent 2 months of my time not sending a phone away that needed to be repaired. - This phone was sitting in their store for no apparent reason other than the fact that nobody had done their job properly (Also stated by Optus Claims). Please make sure you are calling them constantly for anything you need, because you will end up in my situation thinking people are honest and have done their jobs properly when they haven’t. It should have been a simple process – claim, surrender phone for repairs, pick up phone in store. And unfortunately for me it wasn’t. Again, please make sure you are calling up religiously for any concerns you may have, you do not want to be waiting for as long as I have.
