Needed suits and shirts done within 48 hours. That meant the bulk discount didn't apply AND had to pay an additional 20. Almost 50 extra. This wasn't noted on the website. When I collected we discovered one of the shirts was missing which meant I ended up having to wear a non-dry cleaned shirt to a particularly special event. That shirt was returned 6 days after we left it with them. So, paid a lot more money for a service that resulted in me wearing a home washed and ironed shirt. Stuff happens, of course, but I don't think the response, an apology, was adequate. A refund of the premium I paid for a service I didn't effectively get, at least, would have been a better recovery. Update: The owner got in touch only hours after this review and couldn't have been more apologetic. Clearly the team have ambitions for excellence and it was personally disappointing for them they didn't reach their own expectations this time. We discussed the experience, including the additional charges and he intends to review how costs are described on the web so people can better access their best pricing by lodging clothes earlier than I did. I didn't know but the website will be clearer. After our discussion my confidence in the standards Opal aims for increased substantially. I will use Opal again & won't judge solely on this one experience. Sometimes you can judge a good business, not on being perfect but how they address and correct the moment where they aren't.

The service is impeccable - the staff are professional, warm and efficient. The change rooms are private, generous in size and also have good lighting. Highly recommended if you value an eye for detail and for your alterations to be a perfect fit.
