The only authentic working tower mill in the Southern Hemisphere!! Impressive, beautifully restored – something I never expected to find in such a random town we passed through by accident. Beside it sits a fantastic playground picnic area with water taps, shelter, BBQs. (Lost a star because the windmill was closed both days I was there, and I was dying to go inside)

Very nice heritage buildings. The mill is apparently still working, but was close when we visited. Nice outdoor display of the agricultural machinery that were in use in the late 1800s.
Great place to walk around & take photos, one could easily think they’ve traveled back in time! Some confusion as to what is accessible & what isn’t, also keep your eye out for one or two disgruntled locals who aren’t fans of photographers. *HOT TIP: Although flying a drone is perfectly legal in this country & there are NO privacy laws against it whatsoever, be warned about flying here as there are a couple VERY uneducated locals around who frown upon drone photography & will definitely give you an emotional spray of untrue nonsense if caught. Other than that, totally worth a visit! Fantastic little town with otherwise friendly folk.
Beautiful place to visit or stay around Oatlands. The mill and the grounds are really well looked after and the new Distillery isn't open yet but it looks like it's going to be a great destination and attraction for the town.
The place looked lovely and beautiful but I didn't get a chance to walk around due to maintenance last month.
When it opens ,it will be amazing. The distillery is looking good.
Great as an overnighter or base to explore the area.
Given a perfect duplicate wind wheel so that Don Quixote does not want to fight with it.
