Very good experience! It was fun to learn about historical events from archival storage! Definitely recommend a visit if you enjoy learning about your country's heritage.

Lots of people come here when they're researching their family history. The reading room is very popular. There's off-street parking here. Buses from Mount Druitt and Penrith train stations stop outside this facility. The staff at the NSW State Archives are very helpful. There is no cafe or kiosk here, but there is a kitchen located on level 1 which the public can use. Bags are not allowed inside the Reading Room - you can leave the bags in the room on level 1 - the NSW State Archives supplies lockers that take a 2 coin as a deposit.

State Records is a great place to visit. But don't forget to book a spot before you go.
