Helpful in selecting the right Century battery for my 4wd
DO NOT TRUST THEM! My 20 year old sister recently booked her car in with McCloy Automotive to have her fan belt replaced. She was quoted 98 and was happy to go ahead with the work. Two days later when she went to pick her car up, she was met with a 861 bill. The timing belt and water pump had also been replaced without anyone consulting her to ask if she actually wanted this done or if she was happy to go ahead with the work. She was never given the option. When questioned why this happened, McCloy himself answered ‘the timing belt is a 20 minute job. She should have known we were doing more because we had her car for two days, that my sister should have known a water pump needs to be done when the belts are changed, and she should have communicated more with them.’ My sister was called once because they needed to order a part in so they’d have her car an extra night but that was it. Nothing was ever mentioned about the extra work. At no point was an apology or an explanation given. My sisters and I have contacted the Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council. We have been customers for years, but after this disappointing arrogant act we will never return.
Best mechanic in the Hawkesbury. Always willing to help, never charges for ridiculous things and always free with advice. Won't go anywhere else.
