Maldon is a great place, close enough to Melbourne for a day trip or stay overnight in a B&B. The North British Mines & the remains of the buildings are very interesting & a unique part of Victoria's history. Lovely way to spend the weekend

An interesting place to explore. The more interesting places have been fenced off but there is still plenty to see and find. The area is quite large so take your time. Read up on the history before visiting to get a better understanding of the history your looking at. Excellent toilet facilities and seating areas.

Surreal to imagine this quiet site used to be one of the world’s richest gold mine of its time, churning out around USD 400 mil (today dollar) in its lifetime. Surprisingly, the concrete and brick that left abandoned for nearly 100 years don’t look that old

Excellent historic mine, buildings and kilns. Loved visiting this place and well worth it if you love your history.

Worthwhile to poke around - shame the interpretation boards are ruined.

Very disappointing. Nothing to see and area looks unkempt.
