Pleasantly surprised. Pleasant facility, polite and helpful staff (well done Rachael). Waited about 10 minutes and was assisted to achieve what was needed in updating information for aged care assessment. Good car-parking. Overall very professional.
In June 2019 we went to ask advise on applying for low income payments and a HCC so we could follow the correct process but the woman at the reception refused to let us see a consultant. Said we need to do everything online and if we had any questions we could come back. Seriously !!! We drove 30kms to get there, waited in a queue for 45mins so we could ask questions and got told to go away !!!! What is the point of a service centre when you can't get to speak to somebody when you have genuine questions? It's now November 2019 and I am STILL waiting for my NewStart claim to be processed due to the incorrect information given to me by 4 online consultants. Do I spend another 2-3-4 or 5 hours on the phone or go back to Noarlunga to get turned away again ????

First visit to Centrelink and I was very happy with the excellent service I received from the 3 different staff members that I spoke to. Only downside was the initial waiting time.
When Yasir t the security guard has better customer service than the staff. He always has a friendly smile so professionally and courteous. I witnessed him get personal with a veteran and offer him support through DHS staff whom had not noticed the vet standing without a leg. Yasir is a valuable employee and I think personally the DHS staff could learn a lot from this security guard. A guard having better customer service and friendly smiles than the check-in staff. What do you want? Is not acceptable, a friendly how are you is not difficult and it required zero effort. If we treat people like animals when they are in prison they are likely to behave like animals. Here we should pay attention to people low welfare as as human beings. Not animal's.
Place looks nice. There needs to be better customer service and a lot more staff. They have built around twenty offices and usually only have less than half full. They need more staff at the line area. More staff at the computer and telephone area. Some staff is nice.
The staff were really lovely and understanding when I went in yesterday. There was a wait time of about an hour but other than that the process went smoothly
