I called in Nick to check my Subaru Forester, bevor I left for my exciting roadtrip to Cairns! He came said (just by looking from the outside) that I urgently need new braking pads and that the ones I have on right now wouldn’t even take me to Cairns. I had brand new braking pads on, it can’t get any safer and better than that! This guy lied straight to my face without blinking with an eye and checked my battery level, my oil level (didn’t even top up), that’s what he called a „major service“ and took 160 from me for that. He didn’t give me the security that I wanted so I left with a wierd feeling about my car on the roadtrip. Now I am at the and and getting a roadworthy and the mechanik here in Queensland just told me my brakes are in super conditions and I passed the RWC test, which proves that Nick just tried to take advantage of a backpacker who is in a new country and doesn’t know a lot about cars. Nick literally guaranteed that my overheating issue would be sorted via changing my head gasket (he used the word guarantee literally). Only to install it after I paid the reconditioning expense without result (still overheating exactly the same). Nick attempted to take a further 900 off me for labour which I refused to pay of course. Nick was hanging around my property like a bad smell trying to make me feel sorry for him until I scared him away. Nick later called me threatening me with court to get the 900 that he had not earned which was laughable. Good luck Nick and I pray for your customers that may not be as resilient as I.
