The first question asked to me: What are your preferred pronouns? As a non binary person who needed a referral to start HRT, this put me at ease immediately. Incredibly respectful and seems very knowledgeable on trans and gender diverse populations. Even though this was a one off appointment, I’d feel very comfortable and happy to go back to Mike. For trans and enby folks out there as well as the general population, high recommendation.
I saw Dr Scott for many years, initially during 3 yrs of homelessness. He was unlike any other psychiatrist, he didn't just write scrips he genuinely cared about my healing and monitored my progress carefully and was involved in my growth. He is a person who listens, takes your ideas on board and stops at nothing to get u where you want to be. I moved interstate and wish I could have bought him with me! He is hands down the best dr I've had. He was involved in my life eg where I was socially, my employment situations, everything that was me. This man is one of the best, if not the best. I went from being homeless to living in department of housing, to finding happiness in a new relationship and moving out independently, which has taken me leaps forward. When I first saw him I was over life, had no hope etc but under his care, I now have a normal life, a happy relationship and friends and new family and I feel for the first time, just like anyone else. The gratitude I have is inexplicable, he changed my life. I'd recommend him to anyone, please, don't give up if I have tried therapy elsewhere because this man will be your door to a new life. I have him to thank for bringing me back to life, out of darkness and thriving, and I was going nowhere. Don't go past this dr, he is the best at what he does and I'll never forget him. Thank you
