A great place to launch from as its never congested , easy to rig up. All tidal, concrete ramps, and plenty of bitumen trailer parks. has security cameras and lights. One pontoon is centerline style and the other has an older but well maintained gently sloping ramp with separate pontoon. Its further upstream from the larger tsv recreational boat park. Room for anchoring overnight. its not far to motor out to sea about 1km. Ross River has a low bridge 6m clearance but i raise/ lower my mast at a convenient sand bank outside bridge. Its often in a windward position to make sailing to magnetic island easier, best to depart early morning before the seabreeze and seas get up. It is a bit further to magnetic island and entrance more exposed than the coast guard ramps in town. There are large areas of mangrove creek south of the river for fishos.

Nice large ramp. Heaps of parking, both car and trailer. Nice pontoon to set a seat up and fish away the afternoon.
