This battery point museum mansion holds many colourfully colonized artifacts that are robustly elegant & sometimes creepy. The kindly informative volunteers know the place. Dark MOFO uses the venue expressed via cultured artistic opinion. Capt.AndrewHaigs merchant mansion holds a few collective souls, probably from opium gatherings. During a ghost tour, I've captured him peering directly at us between upper mid curtains. Also search for his maid sneering at us thru the right window curtains. Pay Respects to collectively cultured history, constructed from robust qualities in time.

Oooh yes, great visit... interesting history! Mr Haigh (important to Tasmania) had an unfortunate ending...the lives of those who lived there is etched in the ambience of the house.... Maids and horse attendants all played and integral part of it's history. Great narrative by our TMAG staff...well done! Great place for Dark Mofo when it returns Thanks DSG!

Very interesting, and informative information in each room. We spent a good hour or more exploring the house and grounds, and when we had questions, the staff were really keen to answer them. Highly recommend.

Interesting part of Hobarts history, and there is a guided tour on Tuesdays as well

An interesting and quaint museum. A little underwhelming. Still worth visiting if you are around.

Great historical home in Hobart to visit. May be limited for some as there are stairs, but if you can upstairs are the bedrooms, servants area and they have sometimes visiting artists in the upstairs front rooms.

Great little local museum. Worth a visit. If you want to see the arts and crafts house as well, you need to book a day in advance.
